WE’RE THRILLED TO BRING OUR DJAARA-OWNED BUSINESS TO THE MALAMIYA MANG ARTS FESTIVAL! JOIN US AT THE DUMAWUL POP-UP SHOP AND DJAARA MARKET AS WE COME TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE AND SHOWCASE THE CREATIVITY, HISTORY, AND SPIRIT OF DJA DJA WURRUNG COUNTRY.

The Malamiya Mang Arts Festival showcases the best of Djaara Art, Design, Fashion, Music, and Culture, celebrating the deep connection between Dja Dja Wurrung Country and People, from the past, to the here and now. “Malamiya” means “long ago” and “Mang” means “now” in Dja Dja Wurrung language, representing the festival’s ongoing story of culture.

This year, the festival will feature a special exhibition on Djandak Wi (Cultural Burns), aligning with the “Keep the Fire Burning” theme from the 2024 National NAIDOC Week.

OUR POP-UP SHOP IS A GATHERING PLACE SPACE TO CONNECT, LEARN, AND CELEBRATE THE ONGOING JOURNEY OF DJAARA CULTURE, TRADITIONAL BUSH FOODS AND MEDICINE.

We will feature our unique and original collection of hand-blended teas, crafted with a careful selection of organic and Aboriginal-owned bush ingredients, alongside a lubly showcase of Djaara art, jewelry, health products, and fashion pieces. From cultural burns and traditional practices to handcrafted goods, each item reflects a deep connection to Country.
