Gift the Taste of Country
Summer on Dja Dja Wurrung Country traditionally aligns with Wurrumuk and Dhurung time (Long-necked Turtle and Seed Time) where the bush warms, grass seeds ripen, berries sweeten and the landscape shifts into abundance. it's a season of gathering, preparing, and sharing food, and a reminder that the gifts from Country carry stories, nourishment and connection.Β Our loose leaf tea blends reflect the rhythms of Country with bright, organic, and aromatic ingredients that awaken the senses, support digestion and ease the body through seasonal heat.
During Wurrumuk and Dhurung time (Nov-Dec):
- Berries ripen, including Flax-lily, Apple-berry and Kangaroo Apple
- Wattle seeds matures and is traditionally ground into flour
- Insects, birds and reptiles are most active
- Native grass seeds ripen, such as Kangaroo, Wallaby and Tussock grasses
- Eucalypt flowers attract bees, lorikeets and honeyeaters
This period of abundance shapes our tea blends that celebrate spice, seed, berry, and warmth; naturally designed to slow the breath, settle the nervous system and reconnect you to place.
