COMMEMORATING OUR JOURNEY AT AITC 2024!

Sharlee Dunolly-Lee DUMAWUL news yarns

AS WE APPROACH THE END OF OCTOBER, WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR PARTICIPATION IN THE 11TH AUSTRALIAN INDIGENOUS TOURISM CONFERENCE (AITC 2024), TAKING PLACE FROM OCTOBER 29 TO 31 AT THE ICONIC MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND (MCG) ON WURUNDJERI WOI WURRUNG COUNTRY.

This conference marks our final event for Indigenous Business Month, and it holds special significance for us, being our first conference attendance ever! Organised by the Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) in partnership with the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, AITC 2024 serves as a vital forum for Indigenous tourism operators to showcase their unique offerings and shine a global spotlight on our vibrant industry.

The theme for this year, “SONGLINES - CULTURAL THREADS,” will guide discussions on key areas of Aboriginal Tourism, including Youth, Culture, the Environment, and the Business of Tourism. This event is an invaluable opportunity to connect with fellow operators, share our stories, and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of Indigenous tourism.

📍 LOCATION: Olympic Stand, Gate 3: Market Space - Betty Cuthbert Bar, Level 2 (Art Space). Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Naarm (Melbourne) Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country.📅 DATES: October 29-31st

AS WE COMMEMORATE OUR JOURNEY AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF INDIGENOUS BUSINESSES THIS MONTH, WE INVITE OUR COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE ALONGSIDE US.

While we gather at the conference, we invite you to explore Sharlee Dunolly-Lee's bush tukka teas online. Together, we can honor Indigenous Business Month and reflect on the rich cultural experiences Victoria has to offer.

DUMARR, (“THANK YOU”) FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT, AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING MORE UPDATES AS WE CELEBRATE THIS IMPORTANT MILESTONE!
