The official Book Launch of Leaf-Light by Trace Balla is at 11am on August 5th at the Castlemaine Visitor Information Centre on Djaara Country. Come along!
Sharlee Dunolly-Lee will be selling Dja-Wonmuruk and the author, Trace Balla will have a chat about making the book, sales and signing. There will be a bunch of thanks and some songs to celebrate with songman Andrew McSweeney.
Stick around the venue and experience the Boorp Boorp Boondyil exhibition (passing knowledge to our children). Learn the cultural history of the area, including the story of the Eagle, the Bat and the Crow, the Creation Story of the Dja Dja Wurrung in the Mount Alexander region, as told by the Nelson family.The exhibition also includes important cultural lessons about living on Country and bush foods, medicine, waterways and weaving.
