About the Artwork BARPANGU (build together)

"I am a Dja Dja Wurrung woman living on Country in Bendigo. I completed VCE at Bendigo Senior Secondary College in 2019 and studied art throughout my academic years.

In my art, I am interested in bright and traditional colour, using organic lines, cultural symbols and adding my own personal interpretation to explore my cultural identity.

The artwork for the Reconciliation Plan (below) is in the shape of a shield, with traditional symbolism and colours of reconciliation from all elements being protected by the subject. In the centre, reconciliation is created."

-Sharlee Dunolly-Lee.
